When you lose three straight to the worst team in the American League you just might be the worst team in the American League.
When you score five runs in 26 innings against the Astros, you might be the worst team in the American League.
Okay so a Hank Conger home run in the bottom of the ninth led to the sixth and seventh runs scored against the Astros - and that would have been enough to beat them but what had been a 3-2 ballgame after eight became a 5-2 ballgame on one of those innings that involved a few squeaker hits and then some boneheaded defensive plays, you know, just your standard Angels baseball.
If there was a highlight besides Conger's bomb and a solo shot by Mark Trumbo, it was Michael Kohn coming into the top of the eighth with two on and one out and getting two strikeouts.
Maybe Kohn now joins Trumbo and Peter Bourjos as our only legitimate trade chips.
