Angels CF Peter Bourjos injured his thumb on the 2B bag sliding wide on a groundout. He was removed from the game and taken in for tests. X-Rays were negative according to William Boor of MLB.com...
Bourjos X-rays are negative #Angels

With a day off on Monday as the Angels travel to Detroit, it remains to be seen if Bourjos will be in the starting lineup on Tuesday against the Tigers.
Even though there is no damage that can be picked up by an X-Ray (which would be major injury), some soreness could push Bourjos to the bench in favor of gloveless J.B. Shuck. Adding a little layer of uncertainty, Josh Hamilton has been sitting on the bench for some time with a sore wrist (injured in an aggressive session of batting practice, talk about adding idiot to the moron) and is scheduled to be in the lineup again on Tuesday. Tense moments on the major league high wire indeed.
