Series Preview: Minnesota Twins

The Angels take on the Minnesota Twins to start the week before heading out for a road trip. And if there's a series to head out with, this is it!

July 22 7:05pm, July 23 7:05pm, July 24 12:35pm

This series starts off very boring because Joe Blanton is on the hill and he's struggled in his last two starts. His strikeout factory, which was open for a few games, shut down and he was beat up against the Chicago Cubs and Seattle Mariners. On the other side of the diamond, Samuel Deduno pitches for the Twins. Deduno has been one of the more consistent pitchers for the club. Also, newcomer Kyle Gibson will pitch against a returning Tommy Hanson. Hanson seemed to be getting a hold of his stuff before heading to the disabled list with a strained right forearm.

To finish this one off, Jered Weaver takes his stellar performance AND scoreless streak to against a lineup that is being led by Joe Mauer, Justin Morneau, and Ryan Doumit. The Twins lineup is way below what it could be; therefore, a few runs from Albert Pujols and Josh Hamilton may be enough to out score the opposition.

Probable SPs -- Samuel Deduno / Joe Blanton, Kyle Gibson / Tommy Hanson, Mike Pelfrey / Jered Weaver

TV Schedule: All games can be seen on FOX Sports West and FOX Sports North. And for you DirecTV suscribers, the entire series can be seen for free as they are showing all games through this Thursday.
