The bats were swinging! The pitchers were pitching! And the Halos added another player with initials as a first name! Hey now!

Only Howie Kendrick was the player without a hit that started tonight's game against the Oakland Athletics. Even Josh Hamilton got himself in there with an RBI! Finding themselves down in the fifth inning, the Angels batters took to the plate and scored four runs. Hamilton, Mike Trout, and Mark Trumbo drove in the runs in their first explosive inning. But it did not end there. A wild pitch by Jesse Chavez in the sixth followed by a Trout liner and Albert Pujols' second RBI gave them all they would need.

C.J. Wilson went the distance -- 7 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, and 6 SO. Mike Scioscia seemed to allow C.J. out for an extra inning in the seventh and Dane De La Rosa backed him up for the eighth. In the ninth, the recently claimed J.C. Gutierrez tested his stuff and finished off the A's.
