Mike Scioscia or Jerry Dipoto will be gone by next season, according to Jon Morosi

The hammer shall drop! And heads will roll!

As we are approaching Labor Day next week, chatter about which managers will stay or go commences. This afternoon, FOX Sports' Jon Morosi gave us a treat just moments ago. According to his sources, the Angels are going to either axe their manager, Mike Scioscia, or general manager, Jerry Dipoto. Here's the tweet:

Angels are expected to replace either general manager Jerry Dipoto or manager Mike Scioscia before start of next season, sources say. (more)
— Jon Morosi (@jonmorosi) August 23, 2013

Furthermore, Morosi explains that "philosophical differences exist between" Scioscia and Dipoto. Also, Morosi points out what we know: Scioscia still has plenty of money and years on his deal; therefore, the Halos manager would be unlikely to resign and leave that money on the table. The exact money is unknown but he signed a decade-deal in 2009 after losing against the Yankees in the 2009 American League Championship Series.

Dipoto on the other hand has been the Angels GM since the start of the 2012 season when he replaced... Tony Reagins. Dipoto's moves, or Arte Moreno's (you decide), have included trading for Zack Greinke, signing Albert Pujols, signing Josh Hamilton, and slapping Mike Trout in the face with a $510,000 salary.
