With the Pacific Coast League championship game tonight, the Halos recalled five players from the Bees! Apparently they are not needed to win a minor league championship but are good enough for the major league Angels!
- Starting Pitcher Tommy Hanson - it will be interesting to see if he starts any of the twelve games left in the season.
- RHP Matt Shoemaker - the only one in this bunch who has yet to make his major league debut, look for him to go long in an early blowout... if one occurs.
- 1B Efren Navarro - one of the best seasons ever by a an Angels 27 year old first basemen took place this season... in Salt Lake City. Trumbo's march to possibly hitting 35 homers will nip into any possible playing time Navarro could see.
- Reliever Robert Coello - the forkball specialist was injured after 14 big league innings, so assume he will get three or four appearances to determine his 2014 status.
- Utility Infielder Tommy Field - up and down and up and down and up again.
Also here is tonight's lineup against Jarrod Parker and the Oakland Athletics...
- J.B. Shuck LF
- Howie Kendrick 2B
- Mike Trout CF
- Josh Hamilton DH
- Mark Trumbo 1B
- Kole Calhoun RF
- Erick Aybar SS
- Hank Conger C
- Andrew Romine 3B
and C.J. Wilson is on the mound.
