Offseason Predictions

P U J O L S - David Richard-US PRESSWIRE

Who doesn't love to imagine themselves as the off-season master? Calling all the shots, deciphering who will surge on to career highs and identifying who will struggle and burden his team. What does all this offseason prognostication get you? Ridiculed, right? And then, when its time to give credit to those who warned us what happens? Of course you cant find the post and no one wants to hear your bragging anyway.

Well, here is your chance to put your genius out there for all to see and refer back to all season long. No longer do you have to hunt through months of posts to find your predictions (or for others to find them flipping on topics), add them here for internet bragging rights at the end if the season. So throw out your ideas and impress us all with your psychic powers as we look back in October.

As for me, I predict a bounce back for Albert Pujols with him posting 5+ war. I see Hamilton bouncing back as well, but I say he doesn't break 4 war. I think Mulder makes the rotation and surprises us with an era around 4, some blah outings and a few great ones before suffering an injury in July.

I think both our new young lefties do exceptionally well, with Santiago bolstering our bullpen (and covering for injuries) and Tyler Skaggs proving he belongs in the MLB with an era around 3.5. I think this is Garrett Richards' year to step up and prove he is a solid #2.

I predict by midseason we'll be in first behind a ridiculous offense and strong rotation. I think our bullpen well be surprisingly effective despite steps backwards for delarosa and jepsen.

I predict the angels squeak into the playoffs with a 92-70 record (because hey, you gotta believe).
