The Halos continue their travels east. After spending a weekend in Detroit, the Nationals are hosting the Angels in the nation's capital. There are a few storylines this week. For the Angels, Albert Pujols is creeping up his 500th home run while Mike Trout accumulated a decent amount of strikeouts. Nothing to worry about, though, as four of them came on Saturday afternoon. On the Nats side of things, Bryce Harper was recently benched for not giving enough effort. Also, the guys in D.C. are without key players like Doug Fister and Ryan Zimmerman.
So what does this series have in store? Garrett Richards and Tyler Skaggs have better stuff than Tanner Roark and Taylor Jordan, but that could all change if the bullpen needs to take things over. Especially if Josh Wall comes into a game (Wall has been sent down). But the third game is where the Halos will really be tested. Gio Gonzalez and Jered Weaver lock horns. Does Jered fall flat? Does Gio dominate? All things to watch out for.
