Final Score in The Bronx: Angels 13 Yankees 1

The Angels opened a three game series in the Bronx with a powerful statement, chasing Hiroki Kuroda in the fifth inning on the way to blasting four home runs. C.J. Wilson pitched six innings of four-hit, one-run ball and the bullpen of doom showed signs of brightening with more cushion than your gramma's new sofa. Nick Maronde, Ernesto Frieri and Yoslan Herrera each tossed a scoreless inning as the cold rain of the cruddy east coast sent disheartened Yank fans home to their Manahttan clam chowder and dreams of glory days Andy Pettite and David Cone...

Five Angels had two or more hits. Hank Conger and Howie Kendrick got three hits in the game and Erick Aybar had four including his first home run of the season. Albert Pujols hit his 501st career home run and now leads the major leagues with nine HR this season. On a night of sixteen hits what might be more amazing was that the 1-2 hitters in the Halo lineup, Mike Trout and J.B. Shuck were a combined 0 for 9.

The Angels are back to .500 with their eleventh win of the season. They got their eleventh win last year on May 3 (11-19) and in 2012 it took them until May 5 (11-17). So light up that week ahead of schedule Halo.
