Angels shutout by Tampa Bay, 3-0

The Angels were shutout for the first time in 2014.

Final in Anaheim:  Tampa Bay Rays 3, Angels 0

It took the Angels' opposition 41 games to finally shutout the Halos.

Jered Weaver did all he could do, however the Halo batters failed to show up tonight at Angels Stadium, leaving the Angel ace to take a 3-0 loss.  The club managed just 4 hits off of 5 different Rays pitchers, stranding ten runners on base and going 0 for 3 with runners in scoring position.

Weaver ( 4-3, 3.14 ERA) went 7 innings, giving up 2 runs on 3 hits, striking out 5 while walking three.  His lone mistake was a 5th inning home run by Rays shortstop Yunel Escobar.
