Would Someone Explain How The Angels Won That Game?

Andy King

Final Score: WHAT? ! ? ! ? ! ? !

The Angels were down 5-3 to the Twins and hey, it looked like it was not going to be their night. The "All Bullpen" game that had been so magic last week was suddenly a morass of arms after Cory Rasmus gave up two runs. Yoslan Herrera screwed things up when he allowed a single up the middle and ....well let's admit it, I was at a party and got distracted and figured that a five-game lead with a Magic Number of 17 was okay.

But this team battled  and battled and scored two runs in the eighth inning to tie the game back at 5-5 and then scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning to go ahead for good. Huston Street had a shaky achy bakey ninth inning for the second night in a row - albeit not as bad as last night - and then it was like - hey the Magic Number is Sixteen with 21 games left to play. And I'm all ...LET'S GET THIS PARTY LIT BY A HALO!
