Angels Win on Walk Off Wild Pitch

Does the Rangers Pitcher get an RBI on that?

Allan Henry-USA TODAY Sports

Well this would have been a lot more awesome if it had happened in the regular season but a Spring Win is a Spring win and we will take it.

Final Score in Tempe: Angels 5 Rangers 4

The Angels scored the winning run in the game on a bottom of the ninth walk off wild pitch to break a 4-4 tie. Johnny Giavotella put the whole thing together in his bid to make the club as a starting 2B.

Giavotella doubled in the ninth, made it to 3B on a single by Eric Stamets and then hilariously waltzed home on a Wild Pitch.

The big hits, though, were from the bats of C.J. Cron and Marc Krauss. Each hit a two run home to tie the game. That is the good news. Hector Santiago giving up a two run homer to lefthanded hitting Leonys Martin was the lousy news.

Huston Street had the barfs before the game and was out but wow did Mike Morin and Scott Snodgress were looking good in relief on the mound. Jose Alvarez gave up the other two runs, he didn't look that great.

Oh well, light up the cactus!
