SB Nation, FanDuel partner for big money Opening Day contest

For the second year, SB Nation and the daily fantasy league site FanDuel have gotten together to give you a chance to win money. Real money.

FanDuel will once again be SB Nation's exclusive partner in providing fantasy baseball games throughout the 2015 season.  To open the season in a big way, SB Nation is hosting a $6,000 one-day Fantasy Baseball league for MLB Opening Day on FanDuel. It's $5 to join and first place wins $1,000 and four tickets to a game.

If you've never participated in a daily contest, you're not alone.  I had always thought those sites were some kind of scam, but during last season's FanDuel partnership, I was given an account with some "seed money".  After taking a quick look into how the game was played, I was able to turn that cash into a little over $1000, but most of all, I had fun tracking the players I had selected for that day to see how they were stacking up against other people's teams.  Picking my line-up became a part of my daily routine, and one I look forward to doing again this season.  (Full disclosure:  I'm being paid to write this post, this is an advertisement for FanDuel.  Yet, regardless of being paid or not, I truly enjoy using their site and would be writing the same thing.  It's a lot of fun!)

If you're interested in joining the fun, here are the official rules and a quick video on how to play:

There you have it, doesn't cost much, is a bunch of fun, and gives you the opportunity to win money.  The only thing they don't provide is the beer, but with all of that cash, you can hire your own waitress.  Join us for Opening Day!
