The Angels lost for the first time this Spring.
C.J. Wilson was amazing by CJ standards. Without the assistance of a Mazda he threw forty one pitches in three innings. Yes, that is not a typo, that is not three batters, it was three innings. For CJ that is as economical as it gets!
The bats were minus Mike Trout and Albert Pujols but Efren Navarro had a double and two singles, driving two runs and sealing his role on the bench a little tighter. Playing in LF one could imagine Efren there before some of the other choices, yeah? YEAH.
But despite CJW and Effie brilliance... the bullpen blew it,Cam Bedrosian was awful, Nae Smith was terrible, Mike Morin and Vinnie Pestano were great and some guy named Ibarra blew the one-run eight-inning 7-6 lead and that was all she wrote, or in this case HE wrote since I am writing it.
So he, let's just not talk about it anymore.
Halos are 2-1 on the young Spring.
