Angels use one hit to beat Oakland, 2-0

New, comments

The lone hit, a Kole Calhoun home run, is enough for Nick Tropeano.

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Nick Tropeano made his Angels' debut, and held the Oakland A's scoreless through 6 innings, while three Oakland pitchers held the Halo offense to just one hit.  Yet, that one hit, Kole Calhoun's third home run of the season, was enough to propel the Angels to their seventh win.

Tropeano, filling in for C.J. Wilson and his achy elbow, pitched brilliantly to earn his first Angels' win.
