Angels 2015 Draft: Who ya got?

New, comments

Let's all put on our embroidered, red polo shirts and play Baseball Executive.

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The draft is on Monday, and the Angels have the 26th pick. Do they have a strategy? Best player available? College or prep? Pitcher or hitter?

Keith Law had a few different versions of how the draft may go, with the Angels taking Arizona University 2B Scott Kingery, FSU 1B D.J. Stewart and high schooler Drew finley. Others, like our very own Turk's Teeth liked Stewart as well, along with  OF Donnie Dewees and C Chris Betts. You also have Fangraphs linking the Angels with SS Blake Trahan.

Basically: college bats galore.

The Hardball Times has projections for some of those college bats, if you're interested.

The only mock I could find that had the Angels taking a pitcher was Baseball America's latest version, which had the Halos going with RHP Thomas Eshelman, out of Cal State Fullerton.

Of course, all of these mock drafts don't mean a thing come Monday, but now is the time when YOU become Jerry Dipoto. Let's hear who ya got for the Angels first round picks, and beyond. We will also have a thread going throughout Monday, so you can have plenty opportunity to talk about it as it's all going down.
