Double-A: Arkansas Travelers

Standout Stats

Ellis had a rough go of it last night, especially considering his last outing, where he threw six innings or no-run ball and snapped a string of three straight starts where he gave up three earned runs. Ellis still struck out five over five, so there are definite signs of life.

Class A Advanced: Inland Empire 66ers

Standout Stats

Rhoades impressed in his first High-A start, throwing a one-hitter over 6.1 innings. That one hit was a dinger, unfortunately. It happens. He departed with one out in the seventh and a man on first, and reliever Brian Loconsole allowed the run to score. I mean, that's, like, barely an earned run for Rhoades. The most telling stat for me is the six Ks over six. Very nice.

Class A: Burlington Bees

Standout Stats

Robichaux did quite well last night, getting back into the dominant form he showed over his scoreless streak a few weeks back. Giving up only one run to the Cedar Rapids Kernels (MIN) is no small feat.

Rookie: Orem Owlz

Standout Stats

There weren't a whole lot of lines from which to choose, so I went with the hot-corner man, Pierson. How great would it be if we actually grew our own third-baseman?

Rookie: AZL Angels

Standout Stats

Again, not a whole lot of great lines to choose, as the AZL Angels only mustered TWO hits over nine innings, so I went with the guy who had the better batting average. Jahmai Jones (CF) had the exact same line as Torres, but his BA is a tepid .242.

Starter Crusito Mieses was a hard-luck loser last night, giving up only two earned runs over three innings, so it was nice to see his relief corps, highlighted by Jake McDavid, come in and shut the door completely.

Rookie: DSL Angels

Standout Stats

This makes two nights in a row for Denim! Watch out, young one, you keep doing this and you'll end up having to play for the dysfunctional Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
