Hearing #Angels are about to trade for #Indians OF David Murphy.

Can confirm that #Angels are getting David Murphy from #Indians

It looks like it's going down, folks. The Angels are trading for OF David Murphy, of the Cleveland Indians. In return, the Angels are sending away SS Eric Stamets. They could have possibly procured a bigger name if they had dipped into the SP pool, but instead they'll quietly improve their Matt Joyce-led LF and trot out a Shane Victorino/David Murphy platoon. It's not flashy, but it's pure Bill Stoneman. Murphy is having a good year, so far, batting .296 and hitting RHPs extremely well in the process. It's a boring move, in a trade deadline filled with big names being tossed from team to team, but it makes sense.
BUT WAIT...THERE'S MORE!
Today the #Angels have acquired OF David DeJesus from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for RHP Eduar Lopez.

Minutes after the Murphy trade was announced, the club also let it fly that the Angels have acquired OF David DeJesus from the Tampa Bay Rays, in exchange for Eduardo Lopez. So, this is how you replace Josh Hamilton...because Matt Joyce didn't quite pan out. At all.
