Triple-A: Salt Lake Bees
Check out this dinger. It's opposite field (just barely) and it clears the very high 410' sign. We might have something special here, boys and girls. Notice that Kaleb was playing shortstop last night too. Quite the rise for our young prospect.
Double-A: Arkansas Travelers
Unfortunately, Newcomb fell back to his walk-y ways, but he still struck out six on 93 pitches (53 strikes, 40 balls). And he helped snap a season-high seven-game losing streak. Oh, and it was against the Corpus Christi Hooks (HOU), one of the better AA teams out there. Nice job, Duke.
Class A Advanced: Inland Empire 66ers
Victor Alcantara struggled yesterday, giving up five runs in 5.2 innings, but his relievers did a nice job of giving their offense a chance to respond. Too bad the offense missed the call.
Class A: Burlington Bees
After destroying the Pioneer League soon after being drafted this year, Fletcher seems to be right on track in the Midwest League. Local boy, too, as he went to LMU, alma mater of one C.J. Wilson.
Rookie: DSL Angels
Nope. They all gave up at least one run. For shame.
