Triple-A: Salt Lake Bees
The rest of the lineup is made up of the Rehab All-Stars, and with the exception of Collin Cowgill (who went 2-for-4), the soon-to-be Angels were held to one hit, a David Freese RBI single. Therefore, Angel gets the honors.
Starter Nate Smith didn't do so well (5 ER in 4.2 IP), but it's good to see Morin have a nice outing.
Double-A: Arkansas Travelers
Brady is the guy I want to see get a call-up in September. He could be a very useful longman/spot-starter. He's struggled at the AAA level with both his previous team, the Marlins, and us, but he's 28 and he could be hitting his stride. What do you all think?
Class A Advanced: Inland Empire 66ers
After starter Harrison Cooney laid a huge brown egg on the mound (8 ER in 5.0 IP), Carpenter came in and provided some solid relief.
Class A: Burlington Bees
Starter Keynan Middleton stunk up the joint last night, but Hoppe did a phenomenal job in relief.
Rookie: Orem Owlz
This kid is only 19 and has only given up more than 3 ER in one of his appearances. In 2013, he pitched to a 1.64 ERA over 44 innings in the Dominican Summer League, and in 2014, he threw 26 innings to the tune of a 4.85 ERA. We might have something good here. Hopefully he gets a shot at Burlington next year.
Rookie: AZL Angels
