Box Scores for Friday, September 4, 2015 here. Sean Newcomb went five innings and gave up two earned runs on five hits and three walks. He struck out six and ends his campaign in AA with a 2.75 ERA. All in all, great first season for Duke. Third-baseman Zach Houchins hit his 14th big fly of the year in Burlington's 3-1 win over the Peoria Chiefs (STL). Orem rocked the Idaho Falls Chukars (KC), 11-4.
Box Scores for Saturday, September 5, 2015 here. Michael Brady went seven innings and gave up three earned runs but still took the loss since the Travelers' offense could only muster one run. Kenyan Middleton secured a win for the Burlington Bees by going five innings and giving up four runs (three earned). Owlz Catcher Tanner Lubach hit his third dinger of the year in Orem's 34th loss of the year.
Box Scores for Sunday, September 6, 2015 here. Nate Smith got walloped in Salt Lake's 7-0 loss to the Fresno Grizzlies (HOU). Outfielder Cal Towey hit a homer to help the Travelers beat the Naturals (KC), 3-1. Taylor Ward discovered his power stroke and delivered a monster game-tying two-run shot in the bottom of the ninth, which energized his team enough to tack on one more run in an impressive walk-off win over the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (MIL).
