Good news for Hector Santiago, as he and the Angels came to terms today on a one year, $5 million deal and thereby avoiding arbitration.
Today the #Angels agreed to terms on a 2016 contract with LHP Hector Santiago, thus avoiding arbitration. @HecSantiago53

Perhaps all that off-season working out on his Instagram account has paid off. Santiago had an all-star year in 2015, and he'll now have at least one more year under control by the Angels. He's expected to be a big part of their rotation, however it may end up looking come April.
MLB Trade Rumors had projected Santiago to be worth about $5.1 million, so this deal is pretty much inline with what they were thinking. Now we just need to make sure we see the Hector Santiago of the first half from last year, and not so much the second half. His easy to project against and expect regression from, but Hector, feel free to prove us all wrong in the long run, my friend.
The Angels still have three more arbitration eligible players to tend to, if they so desire: Kole Calhoun, Garrett Richards and Fernando Salas.
