Hey guys,
Stirrups is still on vacation, living the high life, no doubt, so today's set of HaloLinks comes from yours truly. Nobody does links like Stirrups, but i'll hopefully give y'all enough to chew on and comment on, as we all get ready and prepare for the big Freeway Series tonight.
Okay, let's get into some MLB links...and by that I mean...
FIGHT TALK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There was a brawl yesterday. A Blue Jays/Rangers brawl. It was pretty epic, and you've probably seen highlights galore already. If not, here ya go!
Rougned Odor vs. Jose Bautista I: The gnarlyington in Arlington (that's the best name I could come up with.../shrug emoji)
ESPN has you covered on the replay of the events. But i'm sure you've already gotten yourself up to speed.
The internet saw the punch landed by Odor, which seemed to daze Joey Bats, and reacted accordingly
Lots of players and people in baseball think Odor was trying to hit Joey Bats with his low-angled throw to first.
The Rangers are definitely the anti-fun team in MLB now. I'm not surprised.
C.J. Nitkowski says "Hey, people punching each other is awesome for baseball!".
Odor is no stranger to shady plays and throwing punches. He's no hero today. Remember him as the guy who tried to injure Giavotella last year.
Which brings us to this totally real, not made up Dallas news headline: "Is Rougned Odor already MVP of the Rangers?" NAH.
Welp, that's it. That's literally everything important that happened this weekend in baseball. Oh, you want MLB links that DON'T have anything to do with guys trying to kill each other? Whatever floats your boat, man.
MLB is sending mixed signals with their responses to domestic violence incidents.
It's about time to being the ramp up to the MLB 2016 Draft. Everybody has their lists and their rankings. Here is Sporting News' latest on their Top 10 draft prospects.
Fivethirtyeight takes a look at Best Pitchers of All Time.
Jose Reyes is in trouble and stuff.
Manny Machado is having an insane year, so now it's time to talk about how he's the best youngster, and stuff.
Stirrups will be back tomorrow, and your normal linkage will resume, don't worry. In the mean time, use the space below to talk about baseball players punching each other in the face.
