Cow Tipping: Angels farm report 8/11/16 - Scribner Rocks

Prospects? We have them. And some are doing quite well.

Affiliate Teams (from AAA to Rookie):

Orem Owls, DSL and ARZ Angels rookie team players will also  be covered in the bi-monthly 2016 draftee update.

Note:  I won't be showing the "duds" for the rookie leagues unless they are top prospects or top draft picks.  A lot of the guys in the rookie leagues are young and adjusting to pro ball.  Many of them never make it past rookie ball, and even the truly gifted ones can have bad weeks, months, etc.

ARZ Angels
Temps, AZ
Level = Rok , Arizona League

Elvin Rodriguez (RHP, 18), was named one of the Angels Org players of the month for July.  He threw 27 innings last month over 5 starts (and one relief appearance) and only allowed 2 runs.  In 2016 he has a 1.58 ERA, .158 BAA, and 0.81 WHIP.  Not bad for an 18 year old in his second year with the Angels.

Keinner Pina (C, 19), another player of the month for July, Pina hit .377 last month with a .441 OBP.  Over his last 10 games he's still hitting .308 with only 4 Ks.
