Affiliate Teams (from AAA to Rookie):
Orem Owls, DSL and ARZ Angels rookie team players will also be covered in the bi-monthly 2016 draftee update.
Note: I won't be showing the "duds" for the rookie leagues unless they are top prospects or top draft picks. A lot of the guys in the rookie leagues are young and adjusting to pro ball. Many of them never make it past rookie ball, and even the truly gifted ones can have bad weeks, months, etc.

Alex Henson (LHP, 24), hasn't allowed an earned run in his last his last 9.1 innings (5 appearances). He's stuck out 13 in that time and has walked only 4 batters.
Burlington Bees
Burlington, Iowa

Studs:
Brennon Lund (OF, 21), Lund has been on a tear at the plate and has hit .350 over his last 10 games, brining his A ball average up to .292. He's stolen 8 bases in 9 attempts for Orem.

Michael Barash (C, 21), only hitting .172 over his last 10 and .218 since moving up to the Bees.
Joe Gatto (RHP - #7 BBA Prospect), was put on the DL June 25th. Hopefully nothing serious.

Matt Thaiss (1B, 21 - #1 in MLB Pipeline), Hit a rough spot and is batting .194 over his last 10 games, though he does have 8 walks which gives him a .368 OBP.

Justin Anderson (RHP), another pitcher who's been having a rough year for the 66ers, but in his last 3 starts he's only allowed 2 runs in 21 IP with 17Ks and only 2 walks.
Jared Ruxer (RHP), he's not exactly dominating, but has only had 2 bad starts since moving up from low A ball on July 8th. In his last 3 starts he's only allowed 3 runs with 15 Ks and 12 hits over 15.2 IP.

Taylor Ward (C - #3 in MLB Pipeline), Wow. Ward has been on fire and I'm not sure where it came from given how poorly he's hit all year. He's batting .424 over his last 10 games with a .525 OBP. He's also hit 3 homeruns and driven in 7 during those last 10 games.
Duds:
Jake Jewell (#5 BBA Prospect), is back to his old ways after getting hammered for 7 runs and 9 hits in his last start. Jewell has a 6.96 ERA over his last 10 starts with 22 walks and 41 ER in 53 IP
Roberto Baldoquin (SS, 22 - #23 in MLB Pipeline), While Ward has finally been heating up, another "top" prospect has been cold all season. He's hitting .229 over his last 10 games.
Others:
Jeremy Rhoades (RHP - #24 in MLB Pipeline), Rhoades was coming off a pair of really bad starts in our last report, but this time he's coming off back to back games of allowing 2 and 3 runs over 5 innings each. It's a bit better, but he still has a 5.96 ERA and 1.46 WHIP this season.
Arkanas Travelers
Little Rock, Arkansas
Level = AA, Texas League

Victor Alcantara (RHP - #4 BBA Prospect), since being moved to the bullpen, Alcantara has thrown 7.2 innings with 2 ER allowed. He hasn't allowed a run in his last 4 innings and 3 appearances.
Alex Blackford (RHP), has had 3 quality starts in a row and struck out 20 over his last 17 innings while allowing 5 runs. This recent 3 game run included a perfect 6 innings he tossed on August 12th.
Chris O'Grady (LHP), Hasn't allowed more than 1 run in the 6 games he's started. In those 6 games he has a 0.56 ERA and has struck out 24 in 32.2 iIP.
David Fletcher (SS, 22), hitting .325 over his last 10 games
Alex Yarbrough (2B, 25), finally having a good run and is hitting .324 his last 10 games
David Fletcher (SS, 22), Hitting .325 over his last 10 games
Jordan Kipper (RHP), got beat up a little on August 17th, but threw 7 strong shutout innings last night with only 4 hits allowed.

Salt Lake Bees
Salt Lake City, Utah
Level = AAA, Pacific Coast League
Studs:
Troy Scribner (RHP), continues to impress and he threw 5 hitless innings on Sunday. He's started 5 games in Salt Lake and has a 1.09 ERA, 0.88 WHIP, and .121 BAA in 33 innings. Scribner has walked 16, but has only allowed 13 hits in 33 IP.
Keynan Middleton (RHP - #24 in MLB Pipeline), Had a bad run-in with the Round Rock Express on August 12th, but aside from that has only allowed 1 run in the other 9 of his last 10 appearances.
Daniel Nava (LF), Nava is much better at hitting PCL pitching than MLB pitching as he has a .385 AVG over his last 10 games and .394 since he's been in Salt Lake.
Rafael Ortega (LF), is hitting .357 over his last 10 games with a homerun and 3 SB. He's had 4-hit games twice in his last 5 games.
Nate Smith (RHP - #3 BBA Prospect), Last night, Smith threw 7 innings of 1-hit shutout ball against 1st place El Paso. His previous start he had only allowed 2 runs in 6.2 innings. El Paso has hot-hitting prospects like Manuel Margot and Hunter Renfroe on their team, so that makes his performance all that much more impressive.
Cody Ege (LHP), The Angels picked up Ege off waivers on August 12th. He's thrown 3.2 scoreless innings since then, allowing just 2 hits and zero walks while striking out 5.
Greg Mahle (LHP, 23), Mahle has found himself again after a rough stint and has allowing only 1 run over his last 9 appearances. In those 11 innings, he's struck out 7 and walked 3.

Sherman Johnson (2B, 26), is hitting just .194 his last 10 game with 11 Ks.
Others:
Tim Lincecum (RHP), has had a pair of starts in AAA. He first one didn't go so well with 4 runs allowed in only 4.1 innings, but he threw 6 innings of 1 run ball his second time out.
Kyle McGowin (RHP - #19in MLB Pipeline), has had a rough time in AAA this year with a 5.81 ERA, but his last start he threw 6 scoreless innings with only 5 hits and no walks.
Quintin Berry (LF), After hitting .270 this year, 31-year old Berry was released from the team on August 18th. Part of the reason (besides his age), I assume - is because Forrestt Allday and Tim Arakawa were both called up from Arknasas shortly thereafter.
