Tim Lincecum’s time with the Angels may be over for good. After last night’s horrible start, and not to mention all the other horrible starts that preceded that one, you can’t really blame the team. They gave Lincecum every opportunity to get the kinks worked out, if there was to be any sort of comeback, but it just never came to fruition.
Today was the day when the Halos decided to cut bait:
#Angels DFA Tim Lincecum.

The Angels called up reliever Jose Valdez from triple-A Salt Lake. He takes Lincecum's spot.

The Angels reportedly want Lincecum to keep working at it in AAA, but he has the option of not accepting. In his time with Los Angeles, Lincecum had a 2.37 WHIP, and MLB high, and an ERA of 9.16. Not good numbers, at all, and even though the Angels are hurting, they aren’t hurting THAT much
Here’s to Lincecum and his future, but for now, The Freak is gone.
