There are a whole lot of people on this list you probably haven't heard of. Hell, there are a whole lot of people on this list I have barely heard of. But thanks to Baseball America for posting the list.
2016 top draft picks are here, including Matt Thaiss (#1), and all of the top 12 picks. The #2 pick (Jahmai Jones) from the 2015 draft also made the invite list.
The Arizona instructional league is generally made up of lower level players and more experience players who are in need of some rehab (like Richards). The purpose is to help young players work on their instincts, hone certain skills, learn new positions, etc. Games are played late September through mid October.
Note that invitees on this list mean the Angels think they are worth investing time and extra money into. Last year the Angels invited Taylor Ward, Roberto Baldoquin, and of course a whole slew of other names.
