The Angels have made their selection of hitting coach, announcing it earlier today.
The Angels have name Eric Hinske as the Club's new hitting coach. Hinske spent the previous 3 seasons as the Cubs' assistant hitting coach.

Hinske came off a 12-year playing career across seven organizations, posting his best year (4.8 fWAR) in 2002 with the Blue Jays. It’s usually difficult to evaluate coaching hires, but it seems the Angels have chosen a strong candidate. Between 2015 and 2017, the Cubs had the highest WAR total of any team among position players and their wRC+ of 101 is tied for 7th during that span.
With the hitting coach position filled, the Angels have their staff filled for the upcoming year.
Today, the #Angels announced Eric Hinske has been named as the Club's hitting coach.
