Yesterday, the Angels reported that Angels’ righty reliever Deolis Guerra had cleared waivers and outrighted to the AAA team.
Today, we find out that he has accepted his assignment and has reported to spring training.

This makes the Austin Adams move look that much better. Now the Angels not only have an intriguing arm with high velocity, but they also get to keep the capable reliever that possesses impeccable command.
It’s not a huge gain in terms of projecting the bullpen, but it creates more depth and capable options that are able to eat innings and/or pitch effectively.
Barring surprises, the Angels look to be done adding to their MLB roster so there may be a few more moves like these to stretch the budget and provide more talent or flexibility on the cheap.
