The good, the bad, and the meh - JCy Ramirez in the house

If you read my articles last year, each week I wrote a summary of the best and and well, the not so good performances of the week. This year I’m changing the format a bit. I’ll cover the entire 40 man roster and will split it between position players and pitchers (generally 20 or so guys on each list). Each week the list will change based on the past week’s performance - but also taking into account their performance year to date.

Summary

Pitching was a highlight yet again for the Angels. Aside from a 4 run Chavez start, Angels starters didn’t allow more than 2 runs in any of the other 6 games. The pitching staff as a whole had a 2.67 ERA over the past 7 days.

Despite a slow start, the pitching staff ranks 8th overall in ERA, 3rd in WHIP, and 6th in BAA after one month.

Not on this list:

Cam Bedrosian, 10 day DL
Andrew Bailey, 10 day DL
Huston Street, 60 day DL
Andrew Heaney, 60 day DL
Garrett Richards, 60 day DL
Nate Smith, DL

Changes:

4/29 Tyler Skaggs placed on 10 day DL
4/29 Jose Valdez purchased from minors
4/29 Daniel Wright called up from minors
4/29 Greg Mahle designated for assignment
4/24 David Hernandez traded from the Braves
4/24 Vicente Campos recalled from rehab assignment
4/24 Daniel Wright sent to minors

* Player is not on the active 25-man roster
