Goodbye American League West (for a while)

It’s about time the Angels play outside of the AL West. Amirite??

MLB: Los Angeles Angels at Oakland Athletics Stan Szeto-USA TODAY Sports

30 of the Angels first 36 games have been played against AL West opponents. Starting on Thursday, the Angels will play 27 games in a row against NON AL West opponents. About damn time!!

Among those 27 game, are 3 inter-league series against the Mets, the Marlins, and the Braves.

The tail end of season is also heavily skewed toward AL West opponents with 31 out of the last 38 games being played against AL West teams. So enjoy the non AL West match-ups while you can.

For this upcoming stretch of games, the Angels won’t play a single first place team. Will it give them a much needed bump in their record?
