Jesse Chavez might not have had the strongest of starts, but he went long. 7 innings, giving up 3 earned runs on 5 hits and a walk against 5 K's. But holding the White Sox to 3 runs is important, since the White Sox have one of the best starting rotations in baseball this year (bested in ERA only by the Dodgers).
Kole Calhoun got things back on track with a 3-run jack just prior to Trout's. It would be good for Calhoun to come back up to speed. We have 4 guys in that lineup last night who are not even hitting their own weight.
