Angels Week 9 Rankings - Pitchers

The good, the bad, and the meh - Parker continues to rock the bullpen

MLB: Chicago White Sox at Los Angeles Angels Richard Mackson-USA TODAY Sports

I’ll cover the entire 40 man roster and will split it between position players and pitchers (generally 20 or so guys on each list). Each week the list will change based on the past week’s performance - but also taking into account their performance year to date.

Summary

Most of the Angels bullpen was pretty lights out over the past week. Hernandez, Magnifico, Middleton, Morin, Norris, Parker, and Petit all combined to allowed ZERO runs over 20.1 innings. They also struck out 22 and allowed a combined total of only 7 hits and 4 walks. Alvarez and Guerra were the only relievers to allow a run.

Starters, on the other hand, had a combined 5.55 ERA and gave up 10 total homeruns in 37.3 innings pitched.

The return of Cam Bedrosian on this list cause a lot of the lower pitchers to all move down a spot. Bedrosian come back in at #13 but most likely has nowhere to go but up.

Not on this list:

Tyler Skaggs, 60 day DL
Andrew Bailey, 10 day DL
Huston Street, 60 day DL
Andrew Heaney, 60 day DL
Garrett Richards, 60 day DL
Nate Smith, DL

Changes:

5/29 Tyler Skaggs transferred to 60 day DL
5/30 Parker Bridwell called up from Minors
5/30 Daniel Wright Designated for Assignment
5/31 Parker Bridwell sent to Minors
6/1 Mike Morin sent to Minors
6/1 Alex Meyer removed from 10 day DL
6/2 Cam Bedrosian sent to Minors for Rehab
