The good, the bad, and the meh - Almost fully loaded

MLB: Washington Nationals at Los Angeles Angels Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

I’ll cover the entire 40 man roster and will split it between position players and pitchers (generally 20 or so guys on each list). Each week the list will change based on the past week’s performance - but also taking into account their performance year to date.

Summary

The list of pitchers is growing as Heaney and Skaggs have been added to this list. Nate Smith is on there as well. We are now up to watching 20 pitchers on the 40-man roster which is good news.

Back end bullpen pieces Keynan Middleton and Cam Bedrosian had been off lately and and together have combined for 4 ER and 9 hits in 6 innings. For his part, Bedrosian had a zero ERA from the start of the season until June 23rd. From June 24th until now, he has posted a 4.95 ERA. Middleton, who had a 2.70 ERA in May and 3.86 in June, has a 7.50 ERA in his 6 July appearances.

Not on this list:

Matt Shoemaker, 10 day DLL
Nick Tropeano, 60 day DL
Garrett Richards, 60 day DL
Vicente Campos, DL
Huston Street, 10 day DL

Changes:

7/13 Andrew Heaney sent to minors for rehab
7/14 Jose Alvarez called up from minors
