Angels Week 20 Rankings - Position Players

The good, the bad, and the meh - Homers and not much else

I’ll cover the entire 40 man roster and will split it between position players and pitchers (generally 20 or so guys on each list). Each week the list will change based on the past week’s performance - but also taking into account their performance year to date.

Summary

The Angels were mashing the long balls last week (mostly in Baltimore) with 8 different players smashing 15 home runs, including 3 guys that hit 3 apiece. Unfortunately, that’s about all the offense was doing since as a team they hit only .197 and at the catcher position went 0 for 17 with zero walks. First base didn’t fare much better, going 2 for 20 last week and even Mike Trout had an off week. All of this mediocrity and suckage made it pretty hard to sort out the rankings this week. Thanks guys...

These rankings were compiled with the help of MLB stats, FanGraphs, misc. data, personal opinion, scribblings on Cam Bedrosian’s Five Guys wrappers, and some fairy dust I found hidden in Matt Shoemaker’s beard.
