Angels Week 21 Rankings - Position Players

The good, the bad, and the meh - Wherefore art thou Trout?

I’ll cover the entire 40 man roster and will split it between position players and pitchers (generally 20 or so guys on each list). Each week the list will change based on the past week’s performance - but also taking into account their performance year to date.

Summary

The Angels offense couldn’t make up their minds last week. They scored 10 against the Rangers and 7 against the Astros on Saturday but at one point had gone 2.5 game with only 2 runs scored. Mike Trout continues to be in a mini slump though he’s still get on base a ton. Simmons, Maybin, and Cowart also all struggled at the plate most of the week. The rankings were tough this week and on one really earned the top spot.

These rankings were compiled with the help of MLB stats, FanGraphs, misc. data, personal opinion, scribblings on Cam Bedrosian’s Five Guys wrappers, and some fairy dust I found hidden in Matt Shoemaker’s beard.
