The good, the bad, and the meh: Richards in / Heaney out?

I’ll cover the entire 40 man roster and will split it between position players and pitchers (generally 20 or so guys on each list). Each week the list will change based on the past week’s performance - but also taking into account their performance year to date.

Summary

They giveth, and they taketh. Garrett Richards is back but Andrew Heaney left his game with an injury. There is hope he will make his next start but we’ve all seen this play out way too many times the last couple of years.

I’ll let you in on a little secret.. You know what the trick is to not playing well as a team? Having an offense that stops scoring runs and a pitching staff that had a 5.98 ERA. Starters clocked in a 6.92 last week while the bullpen had an equally terrible 5.18 ERA. As a team, Angels pitchers allowed 10 home runs last week in only 51.2 innings.

Closer by committee seemed to have worked out last week because the Angels were 3 for 3 in saves with 3 different pitchers (Middleton, Paredes, and Petit)

Not on this list:

Matt Shoemaker, 10 day DLL
Nick Tropeano, 60 day DL
Huston Street, 10 day DL
Alex Meyer, 10 day DL
