A Mariners comeback win over Halos in 2017’s penultimate game means sub-.500 season

The Angels had a lead going into the eighth inning. Coming out of the eighth inning, they were losing 6-4 and that’s that and what more can I say when we’ve seen this game a dozen times?

Angels 4 Mariners 6

The Angels blew another lead, late in the game, just like they did a few times in the past 7-10 days. What more is there for me to say about this type of game for the Angels, especially when it’s the penultimate game of the season and they’re already out of any playoff contention?

The most crushing blow in this particular sham was watching Mike Trout, with bases juiced and two down in the bottom of the eighth, display that cold streak that he’s been fighting off down this final stretch by hitting a limp fly ball out to end the frame. That is a kick in the beans. So, whatever, dude.
