The Angels announced their new manager as Brad Ausmus early Sunday morning.

Ausmus managed the Detroit Tigers from 2014-2017, finishing 314-332 for a .486 winning percentage. He won 90 games in 2014, leading the Tigers to a division-winning season but winless in the playoffs. That year, his star-studded roster consisted of Miguel Cabrera, Justin Verlander, Max Scherzer, Rick Porcello, David Price, J.D. Martinez, Ian Kinsler, and Victor Martinez, among others.

Ausmus outperformed his Pythag W-L during his managerial tenure by 9 wins: +4 in 2014, +5 in 2015, +3 in 2016, and -3 in 2017.
