This year, the Angels have 11 players eligible for salary arbitration. Aside from the projected dollar values (thanks to MLB Trade Rumors), the question may be - who the Angels work with who they just let go.
Here are the MLBTR estimates (and 2018 salary in parenthesis):
Matt Shoemaker – $4.3MM (4.125MM)
Tyler Skaggs – $3.6MM (1.875MM)
Blake Parker – $3.1MM (1.8MM)
Andrew Heaney – $2.8MM (800K)
JC Ramirez – $1.9MM (1.9MM)
Jose Alvarez – $1.7MM (1.05MM)
Cam Bedrosian – $1.7MM (1.1MM)
Nick Tropeano – $1.6MM (545K)
Hansel Robles – $1.4MM (900K)
Odrisamer Despaigne – $1.3MM (1.09MM)
Jefry Marte – $1.1MM (559K)
Most of these guys are going to be a pay day close to what is listed above but a few of them? Meh. Despaigne should be gone. Marte must be on the edge. Would you pay him a million?
A player eligible for salary arbitration has to file by Jan. 12. Once the player files, the deadline to exchange salary offers is January 16
