Hooray for awards season!! It gives us something to talk about between Jerry Dipoto trades.
In this case, it’s the 6th Silver Slugger Award for Mike Trout who has received the award every year except for his injury-shortened 2017 campaign. The Silver Slugger award is voted on by MLB managers and coaches.

Andrelton Simmons was Wilson Defensive Player of the Year AGAIN at short stop - a feat he has accomplished in 5 of his 6 big league season. Like Trout, he only missed the award once and it was due to an injury shortened season in 2016. The Wilson Defensive Player of the Year Award winners are determined by using statistics.
