The good, the bad, and the meh - Cozart hits a series cycle

MLB: Los Angeles Angels at Oakland Athletics Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

I’ll cover the entire 40 man roster and will split it between position players and pitchers (generally 20 or so guys on each list). Each week the list will change based on the past week’s performance - but also taking into account their performance year to date.

These rankings were compiled with the help of MLB stats, FanGraphs, misc. data, personal opinion, scribblings on Cam Bedrosian’s Five Guys wrappers, and some fairy dust I found hidden in Matt Shoemaker’s beard.

Summary

The Angels offense was impressive against Oakland. I mean, it IS Oakland, but the Angels ties the Astros for the most runs (22) in the American League and had more hits in baseball than any other team. They also had the second best AVG (.282) in the AL but didn’t draw a lot of walks as they were 9th in OBP.n The Angels also tied the Astros for the most extra base hits at 18 which was at least partially due to Zack Cozart and his “series cycle”.
