Angels Week 5 Rankings - Pitchers

I’ll cover the entire 40 man roster and will split it between position players and pitchers (generally 20 or so guys on each list). Each week the list will change based on the past week’s performance - but also taking into account their performance year to date.

These rankings were compiled with the help of MLB stats, FanGraphs, misc. data, personal opinion, scribblings on Cam Bedrosian’s Five Guys wrappers, and some fairy dust I found hidden in Matt Shoemaker’s beard.

Summary

Despite strong showings but Andrew Heaney and Tyler Skaggs, the Angels had a starter ERA of 4.85 (11th in the LA) and they averaged only 4.9 innings pitched. Receivers fared a bit better with a 2.96 ERA (6th in the league) but they also had a loss and 2 blown saves. In short, it’s no surprise the Angels had pretty mixed results when it came to pitching. Skaggs was great, Richards blew up. Middleton faltered and newcomer Justin Anderson was nails.
