Rain in Detroit delays Sho time, then delays the bullpen's blowup in Tigers' 6-1 win over Angels

MLB: Los Angeles Angels at Detroit Tigers Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

Angels 1 Tigers 6

Shohei Ohtani pitched for the first time in 10 days today in Detroit, and it was a decent outing but the game was not worth the wait in the end... although the wait I'm referring to isn't fans' wait for Sho time, but the rain delays they had to sit through just to watch the bullpen blow things up.

Ohtani had to throw over 20 pitches in the first, and gave up a run ultimately, but then the rain delays hit, and a goose hit the Tigers' scoreboard, and all hell broke loose in the sixth. Yep, that's a pretty good summation of this loss.

Once the rain finally subsided, and the game was tied at 1-1, Cam Bedrosian and Jim Johnson came on in relief and combined to give up five runs in the sixth inning. With the score now 6-1 Tigers, that was all she wrote for this one. The Angels would have no offensive answer and it was another loss on the road for the once-road warrior Halos.

Welp...turn the page, indeed.
