Unable to score a run, the Angels lose 3-0 to the Mariners, who scored more than zero runs

It was not a good day for the Angels.

Well, that’s basically it! That’s the game.

Mariners rookie backstop David Freitas smacked a home run to center inches out of the grasp of Mike Trout, and Seattle never looked back. M’s starter Marco Gonzales continued his stellar season with a 7-inning scoreless outing at Angel Stadium tonight. He stifled a struggling Angels offense to the tune of two hits, both singles.

The Angels are now 7-17 when they face left-handed starters this year.

It’s hard to win when you score less runs than your opponent. Very hard.
