That was not ideal - Angels drop game 1 against the Rays

At least we didn’t allow 25 runs like the Mets

In today’s game, Jo Adell, Jahmi Jones, Brennon Lund, and Jose Rojas combined to go 10 for 14 with 2 home runs, a triple, and a double. All this even happened by the 6th inning! Jo Adell absolutely SMOKED his home run that travelled 428 feet and left the bat with a 113 MPH exit velocity.

Oh crap, that was the BayBears (AKA Trash Panda game). I blame Rick for that one, so let’s get to the REAL game and not the potential future Angels roster. It’s a fun one though so go check out that box score!

Tyler Skaggs, well, he had a pretty bad game. So bad that he gave up 10 runs - to the Rays. Yeah it was that kind of day. Every single Rays player had a hit in this game.

For the Angels part, Mike Trout smoked a home run of his own for #30 on the year. With that home run, Trout joins Willie Mays as the only other player to hit 30 home runs and steal 20 bases in three seasons by their age-26 campaign. More history in the making so I guess this game was good for something.

Other good stuff happened I suppose, like Kole Calhoun going 3 for 4 with a home run in the leadoff spot and continuing to raise that average. Albert Pujols also got 3 hits including a double, and every starter aside from Justin Upton and Kaleb Cowart had at least one hit.

That’s all there is. Turn the page and tune in at the same time tomorrow!!
