Angels lose because the offense snoozes

Really wasn’t a great night at the plate.

MLB: Los Angeles Angels at Houston Astros Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Angels 3 Astros 7

For a while it was looking like the meager offense was all the Angels would need but in the end, the bullpen just couldn’t hold it together.

Felix Pena allowed 5 hits and only 1 run over his strong 7 innings but to no one’s surprise, Cam Bedrosian and Hansel Robles combined to server up 5 runs from the bullpen. On top of that, the Angels could only muster 4 hits this entire game with 2 of the them coming from David Fletcher. Cole Calhoun’s 3 run jack in the 2nd inning would be all the scoring for the Angels.

Not helping the Angels tonight were the 4 errors including two by Francisco Arcia.

Justin Upton playing just his second game back after his wine glass accident, almost collided with Andrelton Simmons (seriously how many times has that happened this season?). The end result was Upton being pulled from the game. I’ll leave you with this gem below.
