Jeff Passan of ESPN reported Wednesday that the Angels have agreed to a one-year deal with Julio Teheran, formerly with the Atlanta Braves.

It’s hard to believe that Teheran is only entering his age-29 season. He seems to have been around the league forever. Teheran has pitched in parts of nine seasons with the Atlanta Braves, compiling a 3.67 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP. His best quality is his durability:
I'm not that high on Teheran.

That being said, he's one of six pitchers to throw 170+ IP in each of the past 7 seasons. The Angels have had 8 such individual seasons in that span. https://t.co/0u4dt3mHVO
His worst? Walk rate. Teheran has walked 4.3 batters per nine innings in each of the last two seasons.
Update: According to Fabian Ardaya of the Athletic, the deal is not yet done.
