David Fletcher took a courtesy fastball, then another one, then he grounded out. Andrelton Simmons couldn’t be bothered with the same amount of patience, lifting a lazy fly ball. Albert Pujols went fishing 3-0 and popped out.
In eight pitches, Cole Hamels had wiped out probably the three most fearsome hitters in the Angels lineup Friday.
Tyler Skaggs, on the other hand, did not make it to eight pitches before disaster struck.

In the end, the Angels had just four hits, and just one Angel in today’s game finished with above a .724 OPS. To be polite, I will not name any names.
