With the 55th overall pick in the 2019 MLB Draft, the Angels selected Kyren Paris on Monday, June 3rd. Paris is a shortstop from Northern California from Freedom High School. He is currently committed to Cal Berkeley, but the Angels must have significant hope that he will sign with them to use a second rounder.
South Side Sox did a nifty little preview of Paris.
#Angels take Kyren Paris, a shortstop from Northern California, with their second pick - likely candidate to remain at shortstop due to easy/athletic actions, makes hard contact at the plate and allows speed to provide extra-base opportunities #MLBDraft

And you guys all say that *I’m* young.
He looks to stick at shortstop.
